Responsibilities
Gannett Fleming is looking for an entry level Highway Designer/Engineer to join our Raleigh NC office. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with experienced project managers and engineers responsible for providing roadway design and construction-phase services for a wide variety of projects, including roadway and intersection improvements, drainage and grading improvements, toll facilities, and highways and interchanges.
Engineering analysis and design/checking design calculations
Technical report writing
Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design, including horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway cross sections, traffic control, etc
Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
Field inspections of existing or under construction project sites
Qualifications
Must be a recent graduate of a 4-year Civil Engineering degree program
EIT (Engineer in Training) is preferred
Hands on experience with Microstation and Geopak is preferred
Strong written and verbal communications skills required
