Data/Business Analyst

They are seeking a Business/Data Analyst for a long term project to serve as organizer, facilitator, analyst, and problem solver for Company's data. In this role you will partner with the program Business Analyst to ensure contractual obligations are achieved as it relates to data management, as well as manage all reporting needs. Additionally, you will aid in analysing data to identify industry trending and business growth opportunities.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage inbound and outbound data feeds between systems
  • Manage the supported account Data Quality Assurance plans, including the creation of the plan and the ongoing execution of the plan
  • Identify and manage the resolution of data quality issues including integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness in an efficient and timely manner, for data used internally and for client use
  • Analyze and report on program data trends
  • Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data
  • Design program reporting requirements to meet client needs
  • Interact with Development department and end users of the applications
  • Communicate and coordinate data related activities across department boundaries during the entire program life cycle
  • Provide project stakeholders with project status updates
  • Support the Business Analyst in developing future state recommendations for client processes, systems and software
  • Support the Business Analyst in the development of business and functional requirements
  • Must be highly client focused with a strong attention to detail and customer service

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience in data analytics and data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
  • Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities or projects.
  • Manage individual work load and assist with defining and prioritizing tasks
  • Experience with enterprise reporting and data-analytics tools
  • Support of multiple account portfolios a plus
  • A 4-year college degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
  • Candidates must have 2
    years' experience in working with IT related projects
  • A minimum of 2 years proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server
  • 2 years of experience identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • A broad understanding of managing projects with the ability to deliver on a large number of success criteria
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodology

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
