DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES
SAS is seeking a full time BI Architect / Manager to work with our customer, a medium sized international manufacturing company in the Raleigh NC area.
This is a management position, overseeing a staff of up to 10 employees. The candidate will serve as an in-house expert for SAS software as well as other software platforms (SAP and Hyperion), and will grow and develop a team to support initiatives with these software packages.
The candidate must have experience architecting, deploying, and managing multiple tier SAS solutions. The candidate will provide thought leadership for deployment of business intelligence software to support the organization's global IT, finance, and HR divisions.
The candidate is responsible for developing and leading all IT activity for their assigned area.
Function
This position is responsible for developing strategy, operating procedures and managing day to day execution. He/she will directly work with and support business partners in Human Resources and Finance, and work across peer groups inside and outside of IT to drive operational excellence. The candidate is a strategic thinker, thought leader, motivated self-starter and inspiring leader. He/she will lead a diverse team and be responsible for global strategy. This is a hands-on role. Expectations include:
Develop, deploy, maintain, and enhance Financial, Human Resource, and Business Intelligence Solutions
Develop and manage multigenerational roadmap for all assigned application portfolios globally
Develop detailed cost analysis and strategy for all assigned application portfolios
Develop strategy and implement a Global Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solution using SAS software, including SAS Visual Analytics, SAS/ACCESS products, and SAS Enterprise Guide.
Act as the key thought leader and strategist for Finance systems (SAP and Hyperion, a must)
Recruit and hire top talent. Coach, mentor and develop talent in the organization
Act as the key liaison for all financial, human resource, and business intelligence needs, work directly with business partners to develop roadmap and vision
Develop and maintain key metrics for applications in assigned portfolio (Program delivery, Budget, tool performance, SLA's, Customer satisfaction, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL
o Bachelor's degree with 10
years proven Global IT Finance, Business intelligence, people, and change management experience
o Deep understanding of the SAS 9 Business Analytics Framework
o Deep understanding of SAP and Hyperion Financial systems
o Prior experience in implementing data warehousing and business intelligence software
o Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver simplified executable action plans with a positive ROI impact
o Demonstrated experience driving significant transformational/operational change
o Experience in a business partner role with demonstrated results influencing global business operations including demonstrated KPI's
o Proven ability to attract, lead and grow talent in an organization
o Demonstrated experience building and executing strategy. Strong metric background
QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED
o Finance, HR, Business Analytics or Quality background is a plus
o Six Sigma, Blackbelt/Greenbelt, PMP or ITIL certified Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
