Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to assume the
position
of Sales Engineer for our Utility Substation Solutions sales team. The position will be responsible for sales of our protective relay lines, remote terminal units (RTU) and substation automation solutions to Electric Utilities. The position has the responsibility of identifying and qualifying Utility protective relaying and automation solution opportunities within a given geographical territory.
The Substation Solutions Sales Engineer will work closely with clients to gain a thorough understanding of the clients' needs for the full suite of Schneider Electric's products and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Regional sales of protective relaying, RTU, and substation automation sales to Utilities in the US.
- Demonstrate protective relaying, RTU, and substation automation expertise and be able to conduct product/solution demonstrations of the offers.
- Work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, and Sales representatives Identify opportunities and to close leads
- Provide updates of sales opportunities on regular basis in
- Provide direct solution and sales support for strategic opportunities at Key Accounts
- Work with the Marketing Department to monitor market changes and marketplace needs, competitor's products, and technology changes in order to adjust strategic directions as necessary.
- Direct the product experts for in-depth benchmarks and presentations.
- Work closely with the clients to understand business drivers and to create competitive solutions
- Provide proposal support and articulation of solution
- Represent Schneider Electric at industry
events
in a speaking or leadership role.
- Maintain customer relationships at electric utilities.
- Represent Schneider Electric in local, regional, and national trade shows, working groups, seminars, regional transmission and independent system operator organizations.
- Travel will be 50 to 60% on the average
Must have a BS EE or related degree
5 years experience with protective relaying and electric utility automation solutions.nullEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
