CDM Smith's Transportation Division is seeking a Senior Cadd Technician for a full-time position in our Raleigh, NC office. Duties include, but are not limited to: -Coordinating with structural engineers to prepare construction plans using Microstation/Geopak for transportation structures including bridges, culverts and retaining walls. -Coordinating with other transportation engineers to assist with Cadd production needs. -Plotting and archiving of electronic drawing files. -Prepare quantity calculations. -Opportunity exists to assist with bridge inspections if interested.
Minimum
Qualifications: High school Diploma with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and/or 3D drafting technology with 8 years' related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience)
OR
A 2-year degree in drafting/design technology and/or graphic/multimedia 3D model design, 5 years' direct and relevant experience;
OR
with a 4-year degree in drafting/design technology and/or graphic/multimedia 3D model design, 4 years' direct and relevant experience.
Preferred
Qualifications: 5-10 years of related experience in the structural drafting field and/or combination of structural and roadway CADD production.
-The ideal candidate will have a minimum 4 years' experience in the production of bridge plans for NCDOT projects.
-Experience with Geopak, roadway design tasks, and coordinate geometry are deemed a plus.
