Acute Care Oncology RN (Nights) - Travel and Lodging Support
Requirements:
Acute Care Oncology RN o Care provided on unit:
Cares for acute leukemia/lymphoma populations, solid tumor cancers and patients with symptom management related to their oncology diagnosis.
Multiple blood products given, numerous central lines, chemotherapy infusions.
Some palliative care, bone marrow transplant, and medicine overflow patients are also admitted to the unit.
o Minimum 2 yrs experience required; General medicine with some progressive care experience; Chemotherapy experience preferred but not required.
ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy provider card would be GREAT but not required; competency with a high acuity population o 28 general care and 6 progressive/stepdown beds on unit o 3 x 12 hr shifts o Weekend requirement:
every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts (sat, sun) in a 6-week schedule o Holiday requirement:
Work 1 holiday if it falls within the contract o On-call:
None o BLS required.
Prefer oncology experience; prefer ONS chemotherapy certification o Unit is adults only no peds o If census down, will float to sister units first (bone marrow transplant and palliative care) before floating to like competency units in the health system o Will consider med/surg if applicant has good experience o Basic Knowledge Assessment Test (BKAT) is required o RN to Pt Ratio:
1:
3 or 4 on day shift, 1:
4 on night shift o Unit is located in the Critical Care Hospital, 2nd floor Estimated Pay We provide a competitive range of compensation for this position.
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location.
The Pay Range for this position is $31.
97 per hour.
It is possible that this position can be hired outside of this salary range based on experience.
