)Duration:
9 Months (Annual extension expected)Description:
o Support the DevOps team, including Reporting & Analytics, for enterprise data distributions and updates, back-end database support for operational retail data as well as non-production environmental data, and front-end interfaces for all RSO hosted reports and dashboards for the RSS PMO as well as reporting and analytic activities in connection with the system health and software currency of the RSS application.
Types of services / activities required:
o Provide DevOps Support (including Reporting/Analytics).
o Provide reporting assistance with data mining.
o Perform ServiceNow Incident & Change Management implementation.
o Creation and maintenance of data feeds for dashboards.
o Provide Program Management Office (PMO) with various reports and metrics.
o Support pricing & business rules for USPS for RSS systems.
o Payment Card Industry (PCI) data collection.
Technical Requirements:
Specific criteria is outlined in the following tasks to provide packaging, provisioning, DevOps (including reporting & analytics), and server application support for the Retail Systems Software (RSS) application that spans 66 RSS/RS-SS production servers and over 48,000 retail terminals/devices in the field.
Skillset:
o Expertise in PL/SQL Oracle programming languageo Knowledge and understanding of the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process.
o Ability to create database objects such as tables, views, indexes, clusters, stored procedures, o Able to perform database modeling, optimization, and integration.
o Knowledge of database design principles.
o Knowledge of techniques such as aggregate functions, subqueries, ordering and grouping to retrieve data from a table.
o Optimization and database performance Requirements:
o Design stable, reliable and effective databaseso Optimize and maintain database systemo Modify databases according to requests and perform testso Solve database usage issues and malfunctionso Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practiceso Gather user requirements and identify new featureso Provide Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) , Dataflow for data schemaso Provide data management support to userso Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirementso Research and suggest new database products, services and protocolso Able to work independently and as part of a teamo Able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
Education /
Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in science, Business or related disciplines or equivalent work experienceo A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in software development, database administration, and/or related field.
