50/hr GENERAL PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
PURPOSE:
Sunstates Security is seeking a qualified customer service professional to function as a full time Lobby Security Officer at a software company in downtown Raleigh, NC.
The chosen candidate would work 8am -4 pm in a full-time capacity.
The safety & security position is designed to maximize the service, response, and communication to our clients to ensure a customer focused safe and secure environment.
The Lobby Security Officer must have excellent customer service and excellent communication skills.
They must be able to multitask and complete all assigned patrols.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Specific Duties and Essential Functions Customer service professional Patrols Emergency Response Visitor management Access control monitoring, Issue temporary badges Clerical Duties-Update various spreadsheets Operational All employees conduct themselves in an honest, ethical, professional manner.
Comes to work on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned).
Has a neat, professional appearance.
Has a friendly, professional & courteous demeanor and provides quality customer service.
Is a good communicator (both verbal and written).
Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders including enforcement of client and company policies & procedures.
The Ideal Candidate Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
A valid NC PPS (Private Protection service) card is a plus If required for an assigned account, must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements Type and Length of Specific Experience Required A customer service professional with reception/lobby experience is a plus.
Physical security experience with access control software experience is preferred but not a requirement.
Professional appearance & demeanor is critical to ensure proper representation of Corporate Security.
Must be dependable, punctual, flexible, and willing to take on new assignments as the Client's needs change as well as the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated, forward-thinking, and detail-oriented are important qualities due to the high level of activity within the department.
Knowledge in Windows 10, Google suite (Gmail, Chat, Docs, Sheets ) or comparable, Email, Microsoft Office , etc.
is a plus.
Other Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher Must be a U.

citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States Must submit to a pre-employment drug test Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated if prior military Physical Requirements and Environment Environment:
Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected.
Major activity:
Frequent periods of standing and/or walking for extended amounts of time, up to three miles per shift.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
