Summary:
The Role:
Responsible for assisting guests, maintaining public safety, controlling access to restricted areas, and preventing unauthorized items from entering the venue.
Job Functions:

Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and direct manner
Circulate among guests to preserve safety, order and to protect property
Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
Patrol premises and/or remain a stationary post to detect problems, threats, and prevent unauthorized entry through doors, gates, and fences
Conduct searches of guests by walk-through metal detectors, physical pat downs, metal detector wands and/or bag searches to prevent weapons and other unauthorized items from entering the venue
Assists guests by directing them to the appropriate venue amenities, answering questions about the venue or event, and helping to solve guest issues as they arise
Warn guests of rule infractions and apprehend or evict violators from the venue
Ensure guests who are drinking alcoholic beverages have a drinking wristband
Assist medics to reach and remove guests in need of help
Complete written reports of incidence occurring during each event
Work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights
Other tasks assigned by the Security Manager or Security Supervisor Starting rate is $12 an hour Required:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to work late hours (most call times are 6:
15 PM but can be later or earlier depending on the event)
Flexible schedule
Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to communicate and work well with others in a loud, fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Ability to diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact and diplomacy
A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
Successful passing of a criminal background check
Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing in one place, climbing stairs and working on your feet Preferred:

Bi-lingual
Experience in a live music environment
Experience using metal detection equipment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
