00 an hour Full Time Apartment Maintenance Service Technician, Raleigh, NC A full-time experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician is needed to work at 712 Tucker, a 180-unit luxury mid-rise asset, located in the Glenwood South Neighborhood of Downtown Raleigh.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years' experience in a garden, mid or high rise multi-family apartment Maintenance Technician role.
Only candidates with 2 years of previous multi-family apartment Maintenance Technician experience will be considered.
EPA Certification is a must and CPO certification is a plus.
Candidate must be hard working, able to work in a fast-paced environment, have reliable for on call, be able to pass a background check and drug screening and have excellent communication, customer service and technical skills (appliance repair, basic HVAC, basic electrical, basic plumbing and basic carpentry).
This position does require alternating weeks of being on call with your Maintenance Supervisor.

Maintenance Service Technician Job Requirements The goal of this position is to provide professional and efficient service to all residents, prospects, Nordblom personnel, contractors and vendors.
Exhibit a professional, clean appearance as representative of Nordblom Management Company.
To perform ordinary and regular maintenance of the property as directed.
To report directly to Maintenance Supervisor or others as designated.

Repair appliances and HVAC systems Clean Pool and check chemicals Receive all maintenance requests daily and perform accordingly while always providing our residents with a positive customer service experience.
Shares 24-hour emergency call duties with other maintenance staff, including weekends and holidays.
Perform any preventative maintenance as instructed including filter changes, battery changes, fire life safety checks etc.
Prepare and make ready vacancies - assist in delivering unit on scheduled leased date.
Examples might include changing filters, painting, cleaning the carpets, performing routine maintenance etc.
Assist in organizing and maintaining proper inventory levels on all essential supplies.
Maintain and properly store all property equipment, keep all tools and equipment in good working order.
Repair and occassionally clean common areas items as directed.
Notify management of illegally parked, unauthorized or abandoned cars in parking lot.
Distribute all memorandums or tenant correspondence as requested.
Be liaison or eyes and ears of the complex.
Notify Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager of any tenant issues, vacancies, complaints, security or safety concerns and unusual or suspicious activities.
Investigate and resolve issues as directed.
Perform other duties as needed or required.
To be assumed as regular duties or designed to outside contractors as dictated.
Cleaning / Grounds :
Walk property common areas (interior and exterior) for trash and debris on daily basis.
Maintain clear path to all stairwells, sidewalks and walkways on daily basis.
On daily basis, remove all trash and debris in stairwells.
Check and replace all light bulbs Maintain clean and orderly appearance of trash area - coordinate removal of any bulky items or need for additional pickups.
Maintain professional appearance of all common areas, front entrances, mailboxes, signs and/or intercom panels.
During winter, clear all entranceways, walkways and lots to make sure all cleared of snow and ice - application of ice melt or sand as needed.
Water seasonal potted plants as needed Other requirements and hours :
40 hours a week with possible overtime on occassion.
The working hours will fall in the time frame of our Monday through Friday Office Hours when not on call.
At least 2 years of multi-family maintenance technician experience is required Minimum high school or trade school required.
Must be literate and speak English.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to operate all necessary hand tools and to kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl to reach items in need of repairs.
Frequently moves about to coordinate work.
Knowledge of general appliance repair, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry.
