The potential candidate must be reliable, demonstrate initiative, actively participate in outstanding customer service, accept responsibility in maintaining equally respectful relationships and have a positive and cooperative work ethic.
This role will cross-train in all areas of the Business Office and provide support to the facility by performing various business office functions as assigned by the Business Office Manager.
These responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Patient Registration/Admission, Medical Records, Scheduling, Accounts Payable, Insurance Verification and general clerical duties.

oGreet facilities patients and visitors.
Notify department personnel of arrival as needed.
oRegister patients for their surgical procedure ensuring all applicable paperwork is completed and identity, demographics, financial and insurance information are verified.
oAccurately enter all data obtained at time of service into patient accounting system.
oCollect and process patient payments at time of service and via phone.
oAnswer incoming phone calls, relay accurate information and direct calls appropriately in a pleasant manner while triaging physician offices and patient's need expeditiously.
oPerform various clerical duties including photocopying/scanning, retrieval and filing of patient charts, distributing faxes, and maintaining the order of the facilities waiting room.
oFulfill Medical Record requests.
oPlace outgoing phone calls to next day patients with arrival times and pre-op instructions.
oPrepare patient charts for upcoming cases ensuring all documentation including records from prior visits, pre-op/post-op standing orders and appropriate paperwork are includedoPrepare and reconcile daily bank deposits.
oAdhere to all facility policies and procedures.
oResponsible for verifying patients' insurance coverage, eligibility/benefits and calculating an estimate of any out-of-pocket charges.
oCommunication of insurance benefit information and financial responsibility to patients.
oAbility to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, payors, physicians, and other teammates.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent preferredoTwo
years' experience in a medical office, hospital, or outpatient surgery center or related fieldoComputer
Experience:
