Game Day Operations Assistant

Raleigh, NC Raleigh, NC Part-time Part-time $15 an hour $15 an hour 13 days ago 13 days ago 13 days ago Position Description Supporting intercollegiate athletics at various Wake Tech athletics venues (Wake Tech North Campus, South Campus, and off-campus) to support home game operations including, but not limited to, operating game clock, scoring, concessions, or ticketing.
Responsibilities and Duties ( Essential Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.

Keep official scorebook for home games, operate game clock, operate shot clock, or other scoreable duties.
Marketing and promotion duties may include updating, and distributing sandwich boards on campus to promote athletics and recreation programs on campus; promoting social media through tabling activities in high traffic areas on campus.
Assist in setting up and striking (clean-up) venue for home games including, but not limited to, setting up tables, chairs, water coolers, cups, towels, public address, system, etc.
Assist in setting up concessions and operations to include point of sale operations and handling cash.
Performing other job-related duties as assigned in support of the college's goals and core values.
Pending college approval (driving record check), may assist with driving designated athletic teams to away games.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General knowledge of sports and playing rules.
Must have a pleasant attitude with the ability to work harmoniously with the staff, faculty, and general public.
Must have good customer service skills, good computer skills, and be eager to work.
Must be punctual.
Standing, walking, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
