Onboarding On-the-job training and raise the bar on field staff Emergency and vacation coverage for field staff Emergency and scheduled equipment maintenance and repairs
Responsibilities:
Onboarding:
Exchange and keep current all surgeon and facility preferences Work with Strategic Market Manager to obtain surgeon and facility preferences while assisting the Surgical Technician that regularly services account to ensure success in their role Assist with new Surgical Technician in roles and those Surgical Technicians covering for new customers Document all equipment and procedural incidents with Clinical Services and/or Director Maintain proper credentials and communicate with facility as required On-the-job training and raise the bar on field staff:
Assist in the onboarding and training process for new field staff Complete a proficiency sign-off for new hires and/or advanced trainings for field staff Assist and/or administer evaluation of field staff Provide guidance on areas to focus on and improve Emergency and vacation coverage for field staff:
Take over Surgical Technician duties in case of emergency or for vacation coverage Provide assistance to the physician and surgical staff.
To include, standard operation of equipment and surgical scrub assistance if necessary Provide courteous and professional assistance at all times Emergency and scheduled equipment maintenance and repairs:
Parts management for cataract equipment Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on cataract equipment Maintain a functional and efficient PM facility
Qualifications:
All qualified candidates must have their Surgical Technician certification, COA/OSA, equivalent years of experience (7 years) or be working toward gaining certification Preferred experience in OR room having assisted with ophthalmic procedures/Cataract procedures Preferred experience and understanding of health care facilities Candidates must have good verbal communication and written skills, excellent customer service skills, customer relationship building skills, problem solving and strategic thinking skills Computer skills required:
Word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail The candidate must be able to handle emergencies calmly and logically, ensuring appropriate communications to involved and required parties Candidates must be proactive and a high energy individual This position requires frequent travel (up to 75%), weekend travel and also potential short notice notification Valid Driver's License SIGHTPATH is an equal opportunity employer.
