The Wake County Child Support Office partners with custodial parents, caretakers, non-custodial parents, and other state agencies to secure financial and medical support for families and children.
Through the location of parents; establishment of paternity and support obligations; and the enforcement and modification of support obligations, the program promotes family self-sufficiency and child well-being.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) High school diploma or GED One year of administrative/office support experience Equivalent education and experience are accepted Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) Experience working in a Child Support Enforcement Office Strong experience supporting multiple staff in an administrative/clerical capacity Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office How Will We Know You're 'The One'? Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message Exceptional customer service skills to include listening, reacting, and responding appropriately and patiently to clientele Ability to maintain composure while assisting a high volume of demanding clientele Ability to follow instructions and take initiative to perform routine tasks with attention to detail and checking work for accuracy before completion of tasks Accountability to be relied upon to ensure that projects within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner About This Position Location:
