Summary:
A growing dynamic multi-state commercial and industrial painting subcontractor seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented painting superintendent to join our team.
A successful superintendent will need to work on tight deadlines, multitask and be a team player.
A superintendent will be responsible for supporting our Raleigh operations team with the various tasks listed below not including other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Field Personnel Review manpower schedule on a weekly basis to determine the number of field personnel needed to complete scheduled work.
Review applications, check references, do interviews, and hire new painters as needed Track field employees progress, updating field/foremen levels, and schedule reviews as needed or when due Identify and develop leaders from the work force, provide training and direction Build teams and promote teamwork All required training of field employees including proper paperwork, safety, etc.
Verify that company policies are followed; advances, per diem, starting times, production, project organization, safety and field paperwork Lay-off or terminate field employees as needed Perform or direct all safety testing on all new and old field employees Manage all safety functions Supervise all field personnel Project Coordination Be involved with job set-up including scheduling and building production reports Attend job start-up meetings, job briefings with Estimator, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Foreman or whoever is needed for the particular job Conduct site visit with the foreman and estimator prior to, or the first day of starting a new project, depending on location and size of project Identify supplies and equipment needed for project start up and throughout the duration of the job Deliver equipment, supplies, and material to job sites as needed Attend job site weekly Progress Meetings when necessary Conduct weekly site visits, setting the attitude and pace for productive project completion.
Promote safety, organization, and follow through Handle management and troubleshooting on projects, including any and all necessary paperwork Miscellaneous Attend weekly staff meetings Completion of all field payroll change notices in a timely manner Completion of all per diem and special pay agreements prior to the activation date Complete a weekly Manpower Schedule to have posted by 4pm Thursday Customer relations Required to do production painting as needed Benefits Included:
