The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and engineering, and will be able to accurately estimate the cost of a project based on labor, materials, and other factors.
The successful candidate will be able to assess the scope of a project, develop and maintain relationships with vendors, and ensure that all estimates are accurate and up-to-date.
Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
Prepare bids and contracts.
Develop material, labor and equipment costs from quotes, supplier price lists and historical data.
Analyze and compare historical data to current estimates.
Develop and manage electrical estimating projects and perform preliminary and final estimating of electrical installations.
Generate and manage project budgets.
Work with project managers and job superintendents to obtain detailed project specifications.
Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and subcontractors.
Perform cost estimating and forecasting.
Develop and manage a cost model.
Use computer estimating software to create and compile estimates Maintain WIP Reports.
