Position Overview Extron is looking for an DevSecOps Engineer as a member of a growing and highly skilled software design and engineering team. Alongside security development, the Engineer will introduce, promote, and evolve cloud and software security excellence based on industry standards and best practices and personal experience. Responsibilities include:
Creating and implementing a strategy for the deployment of information security technologies in the cloud. Help to make security an integral part of the SDLC. Performing security risk assessments and reporting on ways to minimize threats. Tracking latest security innovations and keeping abreast of latest cyber security technologies. Developing processes and strategies for detecting and investigating security incidents. Working in cross-functional teams of engineering, product, sales, and IT. Required Skills and
Experience:
1-2 years experience in Development in one or more languages such as C#, Java, Typescript/Javascript, Python, Go. 2
years of relevant experience working as a part of a DevOps team utilizing AWS services in a modern cloud native environment preferably with a focus on security. Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience in computer or information systems security/design/development. Experience working in an Agile SDLC environment. Nice to have:
Experience with one of more of the following:
Cloud architecture using AWS services and tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Lambda, CodeStar, IAM via infrastructure as code, and Control tower. Monitoring and operations tools such as Datadog, Lacework, Jira Service Management and Ops Genie. Experience with security tools such as Guard Duty, AWS Shield, WAF, Inspector and Config Rules.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
IT Security, DevOps & Site ReliabilityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
