Job Description The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and financial growth of several key components of JDRF's signature fundraising programs including the JDRF One Walk, Gala, and Golf. The Development Manager will be the relationship manager for Committees supporting these events and functions and will have responsibility for developing leadership structures. This includes oversight and expansion, volunteer management, and some Outreach responsibilities. The responsibilities of the position will include strategy and leadership as well as support duties as one of two staff in the Triangle & Eastern NC Market. The position is a remote position based in Raleigh, North Carolina and is in the Triangle & Eastern NC Market of the North Carolina Chapter. While you will not be required to be in an office, you will be expected to meet with donors, committee members, volunteers, and participants in Triangle/Eastern NC. Serves as a key staff member in implementing the strategic direction and purpose of the Market. Collaborates with Chapter staff as well as national/regional staff resources to ensure the Chapter's growth and success. In partnership with the Market Director, will manage the direction of the One Walk Program and specifically the recruitment, fundraising and stewardship of all teams, both family and corporate. Will also serve as the logistics lead for the event and partner with the Market Director on Sponsorship needs. In partnership with the Market Director, the Development Manager will help lead the efforts of the Triangle Gala and will be responsible for logistics, procurement efforts, and managing the committee, including the recruitment and management of volunteers. Will also partner with Market Director on sponsorship needs for the Triangle Gala. In partnership with the Market Director, the Development Manager will help lead the efforts of the Wilmington Golf and Cocktail event and will be responsible for logistics, procurement efforts, and managing the committee, including the recruitment and management of volunteers. Will also partner with Market Director on Sponsorship needs for the Triangle Gala. The Development Manager will be the lead for the T1D Day Outreach Event in Wilmington including vision, logistics, and managing the committee, including the recruitment and management of volunteers. The Development Manager will manage the intern program including recruiting, assigning, and delegating tasks, and reviews. The Development Manager will oversee Third Party Events and be the point of contact for the Triangle & Eastern NC Market. Develop and maintain impactful, meaningful and donor-centric long term relationships with volunteers, event participants, sponsors and community partners. Must be a team player who can achieve individual objectives and support those of the entire chapter team. Accountable for meeting deadlines, responding to volunteers and other department requests. Supports other fundraising events, chapter activities and programs as assigned. Qualifications 5 years of work experience including fundraising & volunteer management or relevant business experience. Must be a self-starter, with the ability to collaborate as a team player. Strong verbal and written communication with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, problem-solve and multi-task. Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers and lead and manage volunteer committees. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Salesforce or other CRM databases Ability to travel within the chapter footprint required. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
