LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER

As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-14, you will Director of Logistics, plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the state G-4, Logistics Directorate; develop goals and objectives that integrate manpower and personnel support objectives into state short and long-term operational plans; establish, revise, or review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the G4 staff, to ensure work problems or barriers for mission accomplishment are eliminated; coordinate and direct the logistical mission and administers the Command Supply Discipline Program; in collaboration with the Director G3-5-7, develop the logistics support and sustainment portion of the deliberate planning and contingency planning process as well as develops the logistics requirements for future roles and missions; in collaboration with the Director, G-6 develop logistics automated information systems policy, procedures, and implementation plans; in collaboration with the Director, J-8 recommends logistics sustainability and mobilization implications or shortfalls for consideration by TAG and National Guard Bureau J-4, ANG/LG, ANG CE and ARNG G-4 Directors; issues joint logistics sustainability planning and mobilization guidance for use by the Adjutant General, Director of the Joint Staff and Chief of Staff-Army, Major Support Commands (MSCs), and war trace military services; oversee the preparation of the logistics sustainability objectives needed to support the force structure and serves as the focal point; in collaboration with NGB J-4, ARNG, G-4, ANG/LG, ANG/CE, Joint Staff, Power Projection Platforms, and MSCs, identifies assets for fielding redistribution and cross-leveling during times of war, terrorist attacks, fire response services, environmental issues, natural disasters, humanitarian relief, and other contingencies in accordance with USAF and ARNG concepts(s) of operations and in support of the National Military Strategy; exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities; represent the G-4 Directorate in dealing with a variety of state and state National Guard functional areas/organizations. Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Substitution of Education for Specialized
Experience:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
