This is not a remote position.
The Accounting Assistant reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and is responsible for performing a variety of paraprofessional accounting and clerical duties requiring knowledge of basic accounting.
An Accounting Assistant performs general accounting duties such as recording revenues, reconciling, accounts receivable, customer billing, preparing adjusting entries and schedules, and performs other related duties as required.
The role will include processing payments and sales orders, set-up and maintenance of customer accounts, handling credit card processing and disputes, and interfacing on the phone with customers and key vendors so professionalism and phone etiquette are essential.
The Accounting Assistant will also work with the implementation team and our clients to help them understand our system from a bookkeeper perspective.
The Accounting Assistant should be able to walk clients through their revenue, sales, accounts receivable, taxes, and other financials so that our clients are comfortable with the information and how to find it.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
