91 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago What You'll Be Doing The Wake County Child Welfare team are seeking an Administrative Specialist who's office management skills rise above others, to excel at providing administrative and personal support to a high-level manager.
To succeed in this role, you must have a high level of professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to excel as an acting office manager with exceptional time management skills.
Work may be confidential and sensitive in nature and ranges from general office support assignments to administrative responsibilities involving decision making, judgement and tact.
Essential Functions:
Manages access to administrator by screening calls and visitors to determine appropriate course of action.
Researches and responds to calls that may be sensitive and confidential in nature.
Public contact is a significant function including contact with program staff, managers of other units within the organization as well as representatives external to the organization Maintains calendar and schedules appointments based on knowledge of administrator's responsibilities and issues of importance Resolves administrative problems that would not typically require the supervisor's involvement Coordinates meeting/event logistics, prepares meeting agendas and handouts, formats information for presentations and reports, contacts guest speakers and may attend meetings to record/distribute minutes Compiles information for various reports, spreadsheets, projects, briefings and conferences.
Secures signatures and approvals if needed Monitors and orders supplies.
Maintains records of expenditures.
Processes requests for payments, reimbursements, requisitions, and contract amendments.
Reconciles monthly procurement card purchases Drafting/formatting letters and documents, serving as the human resources liaison, retrieving, and filing information, making travel arrangements, data entry, processing mail and functioning as office manager Find out more about the important services our Child Welfare team provides the community! https:

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) High school diploma or GED Two years of administrative/office support experience Equivalent education and experience are accepted Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) A minimum of two years of administrative/office support experience Experience supporting child welfare Experience working in local government Microsoft Office Expert Experience creating and working with Flow Charts Familiar with NC Fast, LexisNexis, Acurint Budget management and payment of invoices How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
