TRIO Talent Search serves 1,314 students annually and works with middle and high school students in Johnston, Wake, and Wayne Counties.
TRIO TS Residential Mentors will work Sunday, June 25 - Friday June 30, 2023.
This is a live-in position and mentors will be expected to provide 24-hour supervision of minors living within the residence halls.
Housing and meals will be provided.
Mentors must be able to work the entirety of the program.
TRIO Talent Search Summer Residential Mentor responsibilities include:
Supervise youth during a 1 week summer residential program, Must be available to work the full week in a residential capacity and provide 24 hour supervision of minors; Monitoring students during both day and evening program activities; Ensuring the safety and supervision of minors, enforcing curfews and program rules, and reporting any behavioral issues to TRIO staff; Ensure the safety and security of minors while traveling and within residence halls; Provide mentoring and positive role models to minor participants; All activities, travel, accommodations, meals, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
