The paralegal will provide assistance and support to attorneys by maintaining client files, drafting family law pleadings, filing all Court documents, communicating with and addressing client concerns, and proactively handling any issues that arise on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
Case management - maintain a high volume of paper and computer files in an organized, accurate, and efficient manner Work closely with an attorney to ensure that all cases are receiving the necessary attention, motions are filed in a timely manner, and deadlines are not missed Prepare, edit, and/or modify pleadings as needed with proper attachments/exhibits if needed File pleadings with the appropriate courts in the correct filing method Ensure that all documents received are routed with the correct file to the attorney for review in a timely manner Maintain a clean, organized workspace Process all emails a timely manner Provide communication to Client's regarding case status Meet billing requirements each day Capture all time each day Skills required:
Strong Communication skills Ability to work professionally with all staff members Dependable Critical thinking abilities Problem solving skills Ability to multi-task (physical and mental) Organized Ambitious Work accurately, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment Sense of urgency Ability to prioritize, review, and re-prioritize tasks multiple times throughout the day Work independently with little supervision Strong writing and grammar skills Desire to work within a team Ability to operate all Microsoft office programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
