Position Description
Responsible for processing and/or reconciling various types of increasingly complex transactions affecting all types of trust accounts on the trust accounting system. Ensure that the functions performed in Trust Support Services are being handled according to prescribed policies and procedures. Maintain controls established to safeguard customers assets.
Principal Accountabilities
:
Monitor and balance the daily entries/activity to the totals actually posted to the trust accounting system. This includes posting all outgoing wire entries, clearing all rejected entries, monitoring offsetting entries and posting corrected items. Process history reversals. Process all stop payment requests. Monitor and post all incoming cash wire packets. Report balance totals to Central Accounting. Responsible for midday and end of day cash balancing.
Position Requirements
Basic
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED with 2 years banking / financial industry experience.
Additional Requirements:
PC skills to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access.
Understanding of accounting principles.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Strong customer service skills.
Other Preferred
Qualifications:
Associate degree.
Trust experience.
